About Me

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio to my father, Aaron Greenlea, a pastor, and my mother, Betty Jean Greenlea, a Nurse. I am one of six children and a proud father of two. I began my career as a child actor/singer in regional theater, commercials and educational television. I studied Art, Theater and vocal music at the Cincinnati School for the Creative and Performing Arts. I majored in theater and minored in vocal music at Webster University's Theater Conservatory then graduated from the New York Center for Media Arts, where I studied Film, Photography and Videography. My late teens and early 20’s were spent as a photographer/videographer in corporate film and video for Kippany Productions, Manufacturers Hanover Bank, and Color by Pergament.

I then went on to work as gaffer, key grip, best-boy grip/electric and dolly grip on numerous commercials, music videos, feature films, and television productions. All the while, I privately directed plays, short films, videos, and PSAs continuing my pursuit of becoming a director. I wrote, starred in and directed The Cloth, a short film, which was screened and received an audience appreciation award at the 2004 San Diego Comic-Con Film Festival. This jump started my acceptance into the Disney ABC DGA Directing Program (2012-14) in 2011. It has since been 10 years and I have directed over 50 hours of television crafting tools for doing the job that reflects my journey, my way. The Greenlea way is the result. I’ve been fortunate enough to direct everything from horror to super hero epics to scifi to political & crime dramas, hospital dramas and more. This year marks a decade of doing what I love, I am marking it with a bit of nostalgia. Establishing What’s Wrong With That Motion Picture production company an independent production entity aimed at creating and producing original work as well as launching a mentorship program with a series of courses for episodic directing.
